Francesca Boyd

As a PhD student, her project was primarily focused on health and wellbeing within the urban environment in Sheffield. Alongside my IWUN colleagues at the University of Sheffield and University of Derby, she used an app to collect data and contribute to our understanding of this connection.

My previous research as a masters student focused on non-frequent users of the natural environment through Natural England’s Monitor of Engagement with the Natural Environment survey. I am interested in our connection with nature and how this can be harnessed to improve the health of both nature and humans.
