Research Team

Professor David Sheffield is a Health Psychologist and Associate Head of the Centre for Psychological Research at the University of Derby. Over the past 20 years his work has focused on the relationships between stress and the social environment, on the one hand, and health and wellbeing, on the other.

He uses epidemiological, experimental, psychophysiological and qualitative methods to examine the extent and nature of those relationships in a number of projects funded by the National Heart, Lung & Blood Institute (US), Medical Research Council, Welcome Trust (an Art-Sci Collaboration), Community Scotland and Institute of Occupational Safety and Health.

Professor Sheffield provided expert input on experimental design and analysis in IWUN.
